The Rioting Haters of France

These are not knowledge seekers

But haters.

Haters of what?

The violence reveals.

Haters of France.

The haters burn venerable schools

that are more sacred than churches.

The haters burn fire trucks,

that are as venerable as tractors.

Their fires expresses their hatred.

They do not starve, clearly quite healthy.

If sick or injured, they will receive medical treatment.

To most, France is not their homeland.

Their homeland is elsewhere poor, corrupt, violent, and repressive.

No books there because they contain knowledge forbidden.

That is why they are in France.

Knowledge doesn’t really matter to the rioters

Video games, social media, & smart phones (smarter than their users) matter.

The rioters believe life is hard for them. It isn’t.

They want to live rich

but spend their time doing nothing but complaining.

Could go to a library and read a book.

Education without schools is possible.

A Scholar

Hard times seekers of knowledge

Ray Bradbury never attended college

Angelou did not attend college due to poverty and becoming a mother young

Mark Twain left school at the age of 12, educating himself on the river and in print shops

Jack London London join the Klondike Gold Rush and studied in libraries

Jack Kerouac dropped out of college but continued to read books and write

H. G. Wells left school at the of 11 to become an apprentice working thirteen-hour days

Charles Dickens worked in a boot-blacking factory at the age of 12 after his father died

William Shakespeare never attended a university

Jane Austen received no formal higher education but read books at home

Michael Faraday left school at age 14, self-taught physics and chemistry by reading books

Benjamin Franklin left formal school at age 10, educated himself through voracious reading

Thomas Edison was largely self-taught through library books

George Boole the son of a cobbler was entirely self-taught in mathematics

Srinivasa Ramanujan was largely self-taught from a single mathematics book

Ditto for: Émile Zola, André Malraux, Jean Cocteau

Rioters, haters, nihilists, anarchists, not scholars

When in school haters mostly resent listening to lectures, being assigned required reading, and having to write essays. They play with their smart phones and talk while their teachers lecture. During the riots, learners have remained home reading and studying or following the news of the haters’ rampages. Their parents will vote Marine Le Pen and the National Rally because they love France rather than hate France. The right-wing movements in Germany, France, the U.K., Italy, and elsewhere reject the leftist-Islamist's hatred of their homelands. Marine Le Pen is seen as modern France’s Joan of Arc in arms against the haters of France. The same happened in the U.S. The haters burn cities and MAGA was born.

Be careful what you wish for!

The true scholars have stayed at home reading

Or using their inexpensive computer (cheaper than smart phones used by rioters)

to study art, history, religion, physics, mathematics, etc., on YouTube.

Knowledge is available in library books, purchased secondhand books, or on the Internet.

If cold in winter, wear a coat.

If hot in summer, have class outside.

Want to protest—don’t burn venerable schools leave them empty by boycotting them in mass.

Yes, the French education system is broken

Straightjacketed by bureaucracy, like the rest of France.

Politicians like Macron (most politicians)  are straightjacketed by single vision.

They lack creative thinking and are arrogantly and disdainfully detached from the people they are supposed to serve.

A bureaucratic revolution is needed by wise and creative French men and women, not by haters who want France destroyed, not improved.

Those who love France—in spite of the faults of the politicians who mismanage her—must come to her rescue.

           No, no, no!

          A peaceful revolution is needed.

           Vive la France
